FACTORS AFECTING THE APPLICATION OF HIGH TECHNOLOGY IN PRODUCTION OF GARMENT ENTERPRISES IN NAM DINH PROVINCE

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of factors on the application of high technology in the production of garment enterprises in Nam Dinh province. The study uses data from reports of the Department of Statistics of Nam Dinh Province, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh Province, and the author's own survey results. The logit model is used to estimate the influence of factors on the application of high technology in production in the garment industry. Research results show that the level of education, capital scale, human resources for high-tech production, consumption prices of high-tech products, investment costs, preferential access to capital, and access to high-tech products. High-technology applications are factors that have a positive influence on the application of high technology in the production of garment enterprises. Meanwhile, age, gender, and number of employees are factors that do not have a clear influence. On that basis, the study has proposed a number of main solutions to promote the application of high technology in the production of garment enterprises in Nam Dinh Province.
