OPTICAL SATELLITE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT WITH THE HELP OF ADAPTIVE BEAM CONTROL TECHNIQUE

Abstract

This paper proposes an adaptive beam management mechanism to improve the performance of non-terrestrial communication networks (NTN) based on optical signal transmission (FSO), particularly vertical satellite-HAP-ground communication links. Based on channel status information, the system automatically adjusts the beam divergence and transmission rate to compensate for atmospheric turbulence, deflection, and clouds. The research findings boost transmission rates and coverage. The adaptive beam control technology can produce high transmission rates and consistent connections, satisfying the requirements of future 6G communication networks.
