MOTIVATION FOR AGRITOURISM ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF FARMERS IN HANOI

Abstract

Agritourism is a combination of agriculture and tourism in which the public participates in a farm to experience farming and other activities on that farm. The fact that farmers diversify their farm activities by engaging in agriculture can be considered agricultural entrepreneurship. The current trend of tourism is changing towards green, interested in experiences. In Hanoi, after the COVID-19 pandemic, many farms have engaged in agritourism. An individual may be determined to initiate both for opportunistic as well as necessary reasons, by nature, reasons may be economic, socio-cultural or external influences. The author found that farmers in Hanoi ended up starting agricultural tourism as the main economic driver, but social activities had a certain influence.
