MOTIVATING THE SATISFACTION OF THE CRITERIA FOR UPGRADING VIETNAM'S STOCK MARKET ACCORDING TO MSCI STANDARDS IN THE CURRENT PERIOD

Abstract

The paper deals with the solutions to promote the satisfaction of the criteria for upgrading Vietnam's stock market according to MSCI standards in the current period. Raising the market rating will support the stock market to achieve its goal of becoming the main capital mobilization channel for the economy by attracting more foreign capital, creating opportunities for businesses to access direct capital, without depending on the banking system (indirect access to capital). At the same time, when Vietnam's stock market is upgraded, the expanding market size means that more and more foreign investors know and participate in transactions, the image and position of Vietnam's stock market will be raised to new heights and achieve sustainable development.
