The quenching method is commonly applied to improve its mechanical properties after mechanical processing. However, the efficiency of this quenching process depends on a number of factors such as quenching temperature, coolant, heat retention time, etc., which need to be studied to achieve optimal results in terms of hardness, yield strength. , breaking strength. This study aimed to optimize the process to improve the mechanical properties of medium carbon steel by varying several key factors such as hardener, quenching temperature and heat retention time.
