Abstract

This article presents the results of simulation research to determine the effect of adding HHO gas on the intake manifold for gasoline engines on the working characteristics and emissions at a speed of 6000 rpm with a throttle opening of 50%. The research engine is the Toyota 4A-GE engine. The research software is AVL Boost software. Research shows that when adding 20% HHO gas, capacity increased by an average of 15%; NOx emissions increased by 42.6%; CO emissions decreased by 37.7%; and HC emissions decreased by 26.2%.
