Abstract

Identifying learner competency is a pivotal factor in digital educational transformation. This study surveyed 441 students at the University of Economics - Technology for Industries using a 5-point Likert scale to assess digital readiness and needs in Physical Education. The findings indicate that students possess positive attitudes and proficient digital skills, scoring between 3.63 and 3.75 in QR code usage and device maintenance. A distinct preference for visual learning via video platforms (YouTube, TikTok) was observed, peaking at 3.94. Conversely, competencies in self-technical analysis and fitness tracking remain limited, ranging from 2.81 to 2.84. The primary barriers identified include mobile data costs (3.43), a lack of pedagogical guidance from instructors (3.11), and inadequate Wifi infrastructure at practice sites (2.89). These results provide a foundation for proposing innovative, learner-centered teaching methodologies integrated with digital interaction
